Introduction

The Garage Module is used to manage vehicle parking locations, depots, service yards, and operational hubs. It allows administrators to create and maintain garage records, assign supplier garages, manage self-drive facilities, configure operational areas, and visualize garage locations on maps.

The module serves as the central location repository for fleet parking, vehicle dispatching, and operational planning.

Accessing the Garage Module

  1. Login to the Admin Console.
  2. Open the Main Menu.
  3. Navigate to Masters.
  4. Click Garages.

The Garage List page will open.

Purpose of the Garage Module

The Garage Module helps administrators:

  • Create garage locations
  • Manage vehicle parking facilities
  • Configure supplier garages
  • Manage self-drive facilities
  • Store garage contact information
  • Maintain dispatch locations
  • Visualize garage locations on maps

Garage List Page

The Garage List displays all configured garages.

Creating a New Garage

Steps

  1. Open Masters > Garages.
  2. Click + Add Garage.
  3. Complete garage information.
  4. Configure address and map location.
  5. Click Save.

The garage will be created.

Garage Ownership Types

The system supports two garage ownership models.

Self Garage

Garage owned and operated by your organization.

Examples:

  • Company Depot
  • Corporate Parking Yard
  • Fleet Operations Hub

Supplier Garage

Garage owned by a transport vendor or supplier.

Examples:

  • Vendor Depot
  • Supplier Parking Facility
  • Partner Operations Center

Garage Information Fields

Garage Name

Enter the garage name.

Examples:

  • Dehradun Garage
  • Karol Bagh Garage
  • Pitampura Depot

Mandatory: Yes

Garage Code

Unique identifier for the garage.

Examples:

  • 5115
  • 6546
  • 45675

Supplier

Available only when Supplier Garage is selected.

Purpose: Links the garage to a supplier record.

Self Drive

Enable if vehicles can be directly picked up from the garage.

Options:

  • ☑ Self Drive Enabled
  • ☐ Self Drive Disabled

Area Type

Defines the operational area category.

Examples:

  • Urban
  • Rural
  • Metro
  • Industrial

Phone Number

Garage contact number.

  • Example: +91 9876543210

Email Address

Garage email address.

Address & Location Information

The Address & Location section stores garage location details.

Country

Select country.

  • Example: India

City

Enter city name.

  • Example: Dehradun

Address Line

Enter complete address.

  • Example: Laxman Siddh Mandir, Haridwar Road, Lachhiwala

Map Location

The Garage Module includes map-based location management.

  • Zoom In (+): Used for detailed map viewing.
  • Zoom Out (): Used for broader geographic viewing.

Shows the exact garage location.

Editing a Garage

Steps

  1. Open Garage List.
  2. Locate the garage.
  3. Click Edit (✏️).
  4. Update information.
  5. Save changes.

  • Contact Information
  • Address
  • Self Drive Setting
  • Area Type
  • Visibility

The Edit Garage screen may display additional operational information.

Understanding Garage Status

  • Active: Garage is operational and available.
  • Inactive: Garage is temporarily unavailable.

Administrators can search using:

  2. Use the Search Box.
  3. Enter search criteria.

Matching records will be displayed.

Deleting a Garage

Steps

  1. Open Garage List.
  2. Click Delete (🗑️).
  3. Confirm deletion.

Before Deleting a Garage

Verify the garage is not being used in:

  • Vehicle Assignments
  • Dispatch Operations
  • Fleet Routing
  • Driver Allocation
  • Active Bookings

Deleting active garages may affect operations.

Bulk Operations

The Garage Module supports bulk administrative actions.

Bulk Delete

Delete multiple garages simultaneously.

  1. Select garage records.
  2. Open Action Menu (⋮).
  3. Select Bulk Delete.
  4. Confirm action.

Upload

Import garage records using an upload template.

  1. Open Action Menu (⋮).
  2. Click Upload.
  3. Select the upload file.
  4. Submit.

Download

Export garage records.

  1. Open Action Menu (⋮).
  2. Select Download.

Garage information will be exported.

Customise

Customize visible columns.

  1. Open Action Menu (⋮).
  2. Select Customise.
  3. Configure visible fields.
  4. Save changes.

Administrators can configure visible columns using the Settings (⚙️) icon.

Understanding Visibility

The Visible option controls whether the garage appears in operational workflows.

  • Enabled: Garage available for selection.
  • Disabled: Garage hidden from operational use.

  4. Assign supplier if applicable.
  5. Enter address details.
  6. Configure map location.
  7. Enable self-drive if required.
  8. Add contact information.
