Q1. What is the purpose of the Garage module?

  • The Garage module is used to manage parking/storage locationsfor vehicles.

  • It helps track Self-owned garages and Supplier-linked garages along with their details like address, code, and self-drive availability.


Q2. How do I open the Garage module?

Steps:

  1. From the Dashboard, click on Dashboard → Masters → Garages.
  2. The Garages list will open showing all garage entries.

Q3. How can I add a new garage to the system?

Steps:

  1. From the Dashboard, click on Dashboard → Masters → Garages.
  2. On the Garages list page, click the “+” button on top right.
  3. Choose either Self or Supplier.
  4. Enter Garage Name (mandatory), Garage Code, Address (City + Address Line).
  5. Tick Self Drive if applicable.
  6. Click Save.

Q4. What fields are mandatory when creating a garage?

  • Garage Name (required).
  • Garage Code (required for unique identification).
  • Address (City + Address Line).

Q5. Can a garage be associated with a supplier/vendor?

Steps:

  1. From the Dashboard, click on Dashboard → Masters → Garages.
  2. On the Garages list page, click the “+” button.
  3. Choose either Self or Supplier.
  4. Switch to the Supplier tab.
  5. Select a Supplier from the search field.
  6. Enter Garage Name, Code, Address → Save.

Q6. Can I upload garages using Excel or CSV?

No, you cannot upload garages using Excel or CSV. Garages must be added manually through the system interface.


Q7. How do I assign a unique code to a garage?

Steps:

  1. While creating or editing a garage, enter a Garage Code.
  2. Each garage should have a unique code for identification.

Q8. What does the “Has SelfDrive” checkbox mean?

  • If checked → The garage supports self-drive vehicles.
  • If unchecked → Only driver-based or supplier-controlled vehicles.

Q9. Can I filter garages by Garage code, Garage name, Supplier, or Self Drive availability?

Steps:

  1. From the Dashboard, click on Dashboard → Masters → Garages.
  2. Use the search bar to filter by Garage Code, Garage Name, Supplier, or Has Self Drive.
  3. Use Supplier tab vs Self tab to separate owned vs vendor garages.
  4. Use the Has Self Drive column to check self-drive-enabled garages.

Q10. How do I edit garage details like address, city, or code?

Steps:

  1. From the Dashboard, click on Dashboard → Masters → Garages.
  2. On the Garage list, locate the garage.
  3. Click the Pencil (✏️) icon in action.
  4. Update fields (Address, City, Garage Code, Self Drive).
  5. Click Save.

Q11. What actions are available under the gear (⚙️) icon?

  • The ⚙️ Gear icon lets you customize Table/list columns.
  • You can choose which fields (Garage Name, Code, City, Address, Supplier, SelfDrive) to show or hide.

Q12. What actions are available under the 3-dot menu (⋮)?

  • Bulk Delete
  • Upload
  • Download
  • Customize grid view

Q13. How do I bulk delete garages?

Steps:

  1. From the Dashboard, click on Dashboard → Masters → Garages.
  2. Select multiple garages using the checkboxes.
  3. Open the 3-dot menu (⋮).
  4. Choose Bulk Delete.
  5. Confirm deletion.

Q14. Can I download the garage list?

Steps:

  1. From the Dashboard, click on Dashboard → Masters → Garages.
  2. Tick the checkbox of the garages you want to download.
  3. On the Garage grid, click the 3-dot menu (⋮).
  4. Select Download.
  5. The garage data will be exported (Excel/PDF depending on setup).

Q15. What is the role of the Audit Log in the edit page?

The Audit Log records:

  • Who edited the garage.
  • What changes were made.
  • When changes were made.

Useful for compliance and accountability.


Q16. How do I save an edited garage?

Steps:

  1. Open the garage record → Click Pencil (✏️) icon.
  2. Make changes (Name, Address, City, Code, SelfDrive, Supplier).
  3. Click Save.

Q17. Can I search garages by partial name or code?

Steps:

  1. Use the search bar at the top.
  2. Enter partial text (e.g., “Noi” for Noida or “12” for Garage Code 122).
  3. Results will filter after clicking on search.

Q18. How can I check all garages linked to a specific supplier?

Steps:

  1. Use the search bar.
  2. Select the Supplier from dropdown and enter the Supplier’s name.
  3. Click on Search Icon.
  4. The grid will display only that supplier’s garages.
