Incident
Introduction
The Incident Module is used to record, monitor, investigate, and manage incidents that occur during transportation operations. It provides administrators with complete visibility into reported issues, incident locations, trip information, driver details, vehicle information, and resolution status.
This module helps operations teams respond quickly to incidents, track investigations, maintain service quality, and ensure passenger safety.
Accessing the Incident Module
Navigation
- Login to the Admin Console.
- Open the Main Menu.
- Navigate to
Reports. - Click
Incident.
The Incident Listing page will open.
Purpose of the Incident Module
The Incident Module helps administrators:
- View all reported incidents
- Track incident status
- Review incident locations on a map
- View linked trip information
- Monitor driver and vehicle details
- Update incident status
- Add investigation remarks
- Manage incident resolution
- Delete incidents when permitted
Incident Listing Page
The Incident Listing page displays all incident records reported in the system.
Available Information

Understanding Incident Status
Each incident is assigned a status that indicates its current stage.
Open
The incident has been reported but not yet resolved.
Examples:
- Driver complaint received
- Vehicle breakdown under investigation
- Passenger issue awaiting action
Resolved / Closed
The incident has been investigated and resolved.
Examples:
- Issue addressed
- Passenger informed
- Corrective action completed
Viewing Incident Details
Administrators can open a detailed incident view for investigation.
Steps
- Open Incident Module.
- Locate the required incident.
- Click the View/Edit icon under the
Actioncolumn.
The Incident Detail page will open.
Incident Detail Screen
The Incident Detail page provides complete information about the reported incident.
Incident Information
Displays:
- Incident ID
- Reported Date & Time
- Incident Type
- Incident Description
- Current Status
Customer Information
Displays customer or passenger information associated with the incident.
Examples:
- Passenger Name
- Contact Information
- Trip Association
Location Information
Displays the GPS coordinates captured when the incident was reported.
- Example: 30.365651, 78.087767
This information helps operations teams identify the exact incident location.
Incident Map View
The Map View visually displays the location of the incident.

Incident Marker
The marker pinpoints the exact location where the incident occurred.
This helps administrators:

Linked Trip Details
Each incident can be associated with a specific trip.
The Linked Trip Details section displays operational information related to that trip.

- Trip Number
- Trip Type
- Passenger Count
- Source Address
- Destination Address
- Driver Information
- Vehicle Information

Administrators can quickly identify:
- Which trip generated the incident
- Which driver was involved
- Which vehicle was assigned

Driver Information
The Driver Information section displays:
- Driver Name
- Driver Contact Number
- Driver Assignment Details
This helps operations teams communicate with drivers during investigations.
Vehicle Information
Displays:
- Vehicle Number
- Vehicle Type
- Assigned Vehicle Details
Useful for maintenance-related or vehicle-specific incidents.
Updating Incident Status
Administrators can update incident progress as investigation continues.
Steps
- Open Incident Details.
- Locate the Status field.
- Select the desired status.
- Click
Save.
The incident status will be updated.
Adding Incident Remarks
Remarks allow administrators to document actions taken during incident resolution.
Steps
- Open Incident Details.
- Scroll to the Remarks section.
- Enter comments.
- Click
Save.

- Driver contacted and informed.
- Passenger issue resolved.
- Vehicle replaced and trip continued.
- Operations team notified.
- Incident closed after verification.
Deleting an Incident
Administrators with appropriate permissions may delete incidents.
Steps
- Open Incident Details.
- Click Delete.
- Confirm deletion.
Important Note
Deleted incidents may not be recoverable.
Deletion should only be performed when:
- Incident was created by mistake.
- Duplicate incident exists.
- Administrative cleanup is required.
Understanding GPS Coordinates
Sometimes the location may appear as GPS coordinates instead of a readable address.
- Example: 30.365651, 78.087767
This occurs when:
- Raw GPS data is captured
- Reverse geocoding is unavailable
- Address information has not been resolved
GPS coordinates provide the most accurate incident location.
Handling Incomplete Incident Information
Occasionally some incident information may appear missing.
