Shift
Introduction
The Work Shift Module is used to create and manage company shift schedules. It helps administrators define shift timings, active working days, pickup schedules, drop schedules, and booking windows that are used throughout transport operations.
The shift configuration created in this module is utilized in bookings, ride requests, employee transport scheduling, rostering, and operational reporting.
Accessing the Work Shift Module
Navigation
- Login to the Admin Console.
- Open the Main Menu.
- Navigate to
Masters. - Click
Shift.
The Work Shift List page will open.
Purpose of the Work Shift Module
The Work Shift Module helps administrators:
- Define employee working shifts
- Configure pickup schedules
- Configure drop schedules
- Manage active working days
- Enable ad-hoc transport booking
- Configure booking windows
- Support roster planning
- Improve transport scheduling accuracy
Work Shift List Page
The Work Shift List displays all configured shifts.
Available Information

Creating a New Shift
Steps
- Open
Masters > Shift. - Click the
+ Add Shiftbutton. - Complete the shift form.
- Click
Save.
The shift will be created and available throughout the system.
Shift Information Fields
Shift Name
Defines the name of the shift.
Examples:
- Morning Shift
- General Shift
- Evening Shift
- Night Shift
- Morning 9 to 5
- Evening 6 to 2
Mandatory: Yes
Start Time
Specifies when the shift begins.
- Example: 09:00 AM
End Time
Specifies when the shift ends.
- Example: 05:00 PM
Overnight Shifts
The system supports shifts ending on the next day.
Example:
- Start Time: 06:00 PM
- End Time: 02:00 AM
This is useful for:
- Night Shifts
- BPO Operations
- Late Evening Operations
Weekday Configuration
Weekdays determine when the shift is active.
Available Days

Selecting Weekdays
- Open Shift Form.
- Navigate to Weekdays.
- Click required day badges.
- Save the shift.
Selected days appear highlighted.
Common Configurations
Monday to Friday Shift — Active Days: MO, TU, WE, TH, FR
Full Week Shift — Active Days: SU, MO, TU, WE, TH, FR, SA
Fixed Adhoc Schedule
Fixed Adhoc Schedule enables fixed transport booking based on shift timing.

Open Adhoc Schedule
Open Adhoc Schedule allows users to create bookings within configured booking windows.

The system allows both:
- ✓ Fixed Adhoc Schedule
- ✓ Open Adhoc Schedule
to be enabled simultaneously.
Pickup Times
Pickup Times define transportation pickup schedules associated with a shift.
Example:
- Shift Start Time: 09:00 AM
- Pickup Time: 05:00 AM
Adding Pickup Times
- Open Shift Form.
- Click
+ Pickup Time. - Select a time.
- Save.
Multiple Pickup Times
The system supports multiple pickup schedules.
Example:
- 05:00 AM
- 05:30 AM
- 06:00 AM

- Large Employee Groups

Removing Pickup Times
- Open Shift Form.
- Locate Pickup Times.
- Click Remove (-).
- Save changes.
Drop Times
Drop Times define transportation drop schedules associated with a shift.
Adding Drop Times
- Open Shift Form.
- Click
+ Drop Time. - Select required time.
- Save changes.
Multiple Drop Times
Multiple drop schedules can be configured.
Example:
- 02:00 PM
- 03:00 PM
- 04:00 PM
Removing Drop Times
- Open Shift Form.
- Locate Drop Times.
- Click Remove (-).
- Save.
Open Booking Times
Open Booking Times define when transport bookings are allowed.
Components
- Start Time: Beginning of booking window.
- End Time: Closing time of booking window.
Adding Open Booking Times
- Open Shift Form.
- Click
+ Open Booking Time. - Enter Start Time.
- Enter End Time.
- Save.
Multiple Booking Windows
Multiple booking windows may be configured.
Example:
- 08:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- 02:00 PM – 05:00 PM
Editing a Shift
Steps
- Open
Masters > Shift. - Locate the shift.
- Click the Edit (✏️) icon.
- Update required information.
- Save changes.

- Shift Name
- Start Time
- End Time
- Weekdays
- Fixed Adhoc Schedule
- Open Adhoc Schedule

Deleting a Shift
Steps
- Open Shift List.
- Click Delete (🗑️).
- Confirm deletion.
Before Deleting a Shift
Verify that the shift is not being used in:
- Employee Assignments
- Rosters
- Bookings
- Ride Requests
- Reports
- Active Transport Schedules
Shift Audit Log
The Audit Log tracks all changes made to shift records.

- Updated By
- Date & Time
- Changes Made
Viewing Audit Logs
- Open Shift Record.
- Click Audit Log.
- Review change history.
Searching Shifts
Steps
- Open Shift List.
- Use Search Box.
- Enter Shift Name.
- Click
Search.
Matching records will appear.
Three-Dot Menu Options
The Action Menu (⋮) provides additional functionality.

- Bulk Delete
- Upload

Availability may vary depending on permissions.
Bulk Delete Shifts
- Select shifts using checkboxes.
- Click Action Menu (⋮).
- Select
Bulk Delete. - Confirm action.
Important Note
Deleting shifts may affect:
- Bookings
- Rosters
- Reports
- Ride Requests
Use carefully.
Uploading Shift Data
- Open Shift List.
- Click Action Menu (⋮).
- Select
Upload. - Choose upload file.
- Submit.
The system validates and imports records.
Downloading Shift Data
- Open Shift List.
- Click Action Menu (⋮).
- Select
Download.
Shift information will be exported.
Understanding Active Day Indicators
Green Day Badges
Green indicates the shift is active on that day.
Example: MO, TU, WE, TH, FR — Shift operates Monday through Friday.
Inactive Day Badges
White or inactive badges indicate the shift is not available on those days.
Example: SU — Shift does not operate on Sunday.
Understanding Shift vs Transport Timing
Start Time vs Pickup Time
- Start Time: Official employee work start time.
- Pickup Time: Transportation pickup time before work begins.
Example:
- Shift Start: 09:00 AM
- Pickup Time: 05:00 AM
End Time vs Drop Time
- End Time: Official work completion time.
- Drop Time: Transportation drop schedule after shift completion.
Example:
- Shift End: 02:00 AM
- Drop Time: 02:30 AM
Troubleshooting
Shift Timing Incorrect
Impact:
- Incorrect bookings

Solution: Edit the shift and correct the timing.
Pickup Time Missing
Solution: Edit the shift and add Pickup Times.
